Turntabling Events and Appearances: Cinema Wasteland, Dark Carnival Film Festival, More

It’s the Halloween season now, time for lots of conventions. Which means Turntabling is hitting the road with The Turntabling Collection–over 600 rare, hard-to-find, out of print, and just plain lustworthy records and CDs.

You want Italian imports on the Dagored label? Got ’em. A sealed copy of the original Escape From New York soundtrack? Check. Goblin on CD? Got it. Riz Ortolani, Nico Fidenco, Ennio Morricone and more on vinyl? Yes indeed! Rare 80s slasher movie soundtracks? Bauhaus? Sleep Chamber? New Order? Legendary Pink Dots? This Mortal Coil? All included.

I repeat–more than 600 vinyl and CD titles from horror soundtracks, goth/industrial, Doctor Who on vinyl, bizarre vinyl, dub, experimental and much more.

Turntabling is coming to a horror or sci-fi convention near you, and I’ve had some updates to add since the last schedule post. I’m very happy to announce confirmation of our Turntabling table at the Flint Horror Con, and there are some dates in 2012 I’m working on–trying to decide between Chicon, the legendary Chicago sci-fi show or DragonCon in Atlanta next year. Who will win? Will keep you posted. Here is the latest schedule of appearances:

Cinema Wasteland, September 30 – October 2 2011 in Strongsville Ohio. It’s at the Holiday Inn at 15471 Royalton Road in Strongsville.

Dark Carnival Film Festival, October 21-23 2011 in Bloomington, Indiana. For ticket and location info call (812) 323-3020

Flint Horror Con October 29 2011. JUST ADDED! The Flint Horror Con is a one-day film festival in Flint, Michigan. It’s at the Masonic Temple at 755 S. Saginaw Street in downtown Flint. We’re very excited to be part of this one-day event which also features Tom Sullivan, and Wolfman Mac, the Michigan-based horror host of the nationally syndicated Chiller Drive-In.

Horrorhound Weekend November 11-13 2011 in Cincinnati Ohio at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 11320 Chester Road.

Capricon Wheeling, Illinois held February 9-12 2012. This year Turntabling will offer the Turntabling Collection at our vendor table, but we will also co-host a party room with music and a lot of mischief thanks to the free, tips-only open bar.

Days of the Dead Atlanta is March 9-12 2012. Our very first Days of the Dead show! Sid “Captain Spaulding” Haig has confirmed for Days of the Dead–one of the reasons I decided to book this one– and it should be an undead good time. Follow Sid at his official site.
