Andy Warhol’s Vinyl

Turntabling.net is many things, including a record label and a blog about vinyl albums and related ephemera. This one falls squarely into the “related ephemera” category. Andy Warhol’s Vinyl was loosely based on A Clockwork Orange, and while he might have been exploring similar themes, this one looks a lot more like deleted scenes from Night of the Living Dead (don’t ask me why) than the Kubrick movie.

This feature-length Warhol stars several well-known regulars including Gerard Malanga, Edie Sedgwick, and Ondine. This clip does feature the use of an actual vinyl record (not that I’m THAT geeked out, mind you, just a bit of trivia) and Edie Sedgwick smoking. Some people get all excited about that sort of thing, so there you go.
