Cinemaretro reports something completely unbelievable, but so totally Robyn Hitchcock that I can’t doubt its truth for a second. According to Cinemaretro, Hitchcock is working on a stage musical based on the Dirty Harry movie Magnum Force. It is supposed to be some sort of parody, sick joke or otherwise not-to-be-taken-internally effort, but the sheer balls of this concept leaves me feeling like I’ve quite underestimated Robyn Hitchcock as of late. He’s still got a trick or two up his crazy sleeves. As long as Hitchcock himself plays the Dirty Harry role, I’m there.
