Twin Peaks OST CD Now On Sale at Turntabling

Twin Peaks Soundtrack CD Angelo Badalamenti

Twin Peaks was so influential in its short, short run on TV that it’s hard to believe it’s not even in re-runs anywhere. The story of evil and corruption in a seemingly innocent little mountain town is so addicting I can’t put the DVDs on without committing myself to go through the entire story arc…it’s one of David Lynch’s most enduring works.

When I came across a supply of these CDs I couldn’t pass them up…I know the name of this blog is TURNTABLING, but there are some CDs worth owning–and DJing with. And yes, you can get a lot of mileage out of these great sounds by Angelo Badalamenti, imagine the mashups!

So yes, Turntabling caves in and sells a CD…there are actually a few more compact discs coming, but this is among the best of the lot. Angelo Badalamenti is a fantastic composer of dark, moody material like this and he’s able to stop on a dime–going from haunting and beautiful to moody and foreboding in an instant.

Buy the Twin Peaks Original Soundtrack CD direct from Turntabling for $12 plus shipping. (Shipping to overseas addresses may cost more–I will e-mail you with the final cost). The Twin Peaks soundtrack CD is sold as new-a shrink-wrapped CD.

If you haven’t seen the Twin Peaks Gold Box collection, you missed a fantastic interview with Angelo Badalamenti about how he worked with David Lynch to create the Twin Peaks theme music. Check out this clip and see the Maestro at work at the original keyboard he used to write the theme for Lynch and some recollections of David Lynch’s reactions to hearing the music. Amazing.
