Special Prices Available for Vinyl for Sale by Turntabling at Discogs.com

In case you didn’t already know, Turntabling is selling vinyl at Discogs.com including plenty of rarities and hard-to-find titles like the original Day of the Dead soundtrack, Dawn of the Dead and much more. There are currently nearly 100 vinyl and CD titles listed for sale there.

Here’s the rub: Turntabling readers get a special discount (varies by title) when ordering via Discogs.com. It’s the sort of thing I do on an order-by-order basis, so there is not a specific % off type discount. It varies by title as some of them get quite pricey there due to rarity, difficulty to find, etc.

You can get the Turntabling discount by friending me on Facebook, and sending me a Facebook message letting me know what titles you are interested in buying. I will send you a reply with the discounted price and instructions on how to pay (via Paypal only).

Turntabling.net readers, please DISREGARD the Discogs.com prices–if you message me on Facebook, you will get a discount on the titles you mention. It’s as easy as that!

The prices on Discogs.com are NOT my “friend” prices. And anyone who reads Turntabling.net and friends me on Facebook is definitely worthy of friend prices…

Why not take a look at my rare vinyl inventory on Discogs.com, then hop over to Facebook and friend me there, and send me a message on any vinyl you’d like to purchase? I’ll shoot you back a discounted price and we can get things rolling.

As always, thanks for reading and have fun browsing the inventory. There is more being added daily.

The Grasshopper Original Soundtrack LP Jacqueline Bisset

There is something about those 60s and 70s movies with sex themes that some–Turntabling including–really love. The plot of The Grasshopper is pretty standard stuff, the progression of a liberated woman through sexually challenging scenarios and general life drama. But these movies always have a certain something (and plenty of enjoyable cheese to boot) that makes ’em worth a watch.

The soundtracks to movies like The Grasshopper are almost always peppered with groovy/funky interludes, plus some nice Morricone-influenced swells and such. Check the middle part of the trailer for some nice fuzzed out 70s guitar action…you’ll see. That sort of thing is right up our alley here and helps forgive/overlook the cheesed out “Look Again” track (more on that in a moment).

Apparently The Grasshopper has a bit of a following–on YouTube people rave about it. The cover art pretty much sums up this movie, and for the time it was released that artwork is pretty edgy, as you can see.

The theme for the trailer (see below) is by The Brooklyn Bridge. “Look Again” sounds like pretty schmaltzy stuff, but some really dig it. The same people probably dig the theme from Ode To Billy Joe or the theme from Billy Jack. If that’s you, don’t let this pass you by. The Grasshopper soundtrack is available here–we have a single copy in stock. When it’s gone, it’s gone!

Buy The Grasshopper Original Soundtrack LP from Turntabling for $16.00 plus shipping.
This is an unsealed vinyl record with a gatefold sleeve–the vinyl is in Near Mint condition. There is a small hole punch on the lower right hand corner of the album cover right next to the Buddah Records logo.

This item ships overseas-shipping costs may be extra depending on the destination. We bill shipping according to weight and destination. Turntabling will invoice you for any extra shipping charges required or reimburse you for any excess shipping paid.

Vinyl Records For Sale at Turntabling

I’ve been off the online vinyl record sales for a while–owing mostly to conventions wiping out my supply of LPs for sale, but Turntabling has restocked and I’m selling titles here once again.

I’ve got plenty of cool rarities on vinyl and CD coming up for sale here–watch the posts and you’ll see a steady stream of lust-worthy titles. I’ll be adding items for sale in the sidebars once again, too. Everything goes on back up for sale Friday April 8, 2011.

Everything is NOW AVAILABLE for sale as listed here. Supplies are limited in many cases–if we are sold out of something, we’ll let you know.

I’m taking a new approach with Turntabling which should make the whole experience much easier to manage–every album for sale here is listed individually–one album, one listing. While I do have multiple copies of some titles, some of those are slated to be sold at conventions like Flashback Weekend or Horrorhound.

If you want to buy a title that you discover is out of stock, please drop me an e-mail to see if I have any additional copies. I’d be happy to hook you up with one when the are available. I also have record collector friends who may have copies to sell and I can pass you on to them if I’m currently out of stock on anything.

All vinyl and CD sales directly support Turntabling, so when you buy here you are helping to keep the site running. Many thanks to everyone who has been purchasing and supporting the site in the last couple of years–your love for this music is greatly appreciated.

And as usual, Turntabling continues to blog about all things related to enjoying records, collecting, playing and performing with them. I’ve never wanted this site to be a purely commerce-driven thing, which is why the record sales posts are interspersed with WTF album covers, gear reviews and writeups and other relevant posts.

Thanks, as always, for reading and supporting Turntabling.

Back From HorrorHound Weekend 2011 Indianapolis

It was a crazy, fun-filled weekend at HorrorHound 2011 in Indianapolis. If you weren’t there you missed Dawn of the Dead’s Ken Foree, Sid “Captain Spaulding” Haig, Barbara Steele, and tons of other horror luminaries…and you also missed the Turntabling vinyl junkie heaven as pictured above. Many thanks to all who stopped by to chat, buy rarities on vinyl and trade war stories.

We had tons of great stuff flying off the table this time including rare Goblin, Keith Emerson soundtrack music, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Basil Rathbone and Peter Lorre on vinyl, plus soundtracks from a wide range of films including The Wraith, The Shining, Young Frankenstein, Beetlejuice and too many others to name. Congrats one and all for your vinyl finds…plenty of great feedback from people saying they loved the selection. You are all awesome!

Next Turntabling prepares for Cinema Wasteland April 1-3 in Strongsville Ohio. Turntabling will have a ton of awesome rarities and fun stuff on vinyl and CD including more Goblin, Morricone, Vincent Price, Karloff, Riz Ortolani, Pino Donaggio and tons of others. Do NOT miss it.

Once we’re back from Cinema Wasteland, Turntabling will be offering vinyl and CDs here once again with a new approach and possibly a new look for the site (going back and forth on changing the presentation a bit, still working on that.) We had put things on a hold for a bit pending some decisions and logistics but after Wasteland we’re back in business with a whole new way of doing things that should make for a more efficient ordering experience all around. Stay tuned.
