Vinyl Currently For Sale @Turntabling

Here is a little collection of rare and interesting vinyl I’ve got for sale currently–this is not the entire collection, but any means, but these are a sampling of the latest vinyl finds in stock. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch about any of these titles via e-mail (jwallace242@gmail.com) or you can always drop a comment in the comments section.

This post is a bit of an experiment as I’ve not really imported large amounts of info from the Turntabling shop page at Discogs. If you have any display issues or problems with the links, please leave me a comment or drop an e-mail. The “add to cart” links take you to my Discogs.com shop for the appropriate title.

As always, these titles are on sale as a fundraiser for Turntabling–your vinyl purchases keep the site going, so thank you VERY much for your continued support. Turntabling would NOT be here without you.

In Search of Italian Library and Soundtrack Vinyl

Turntabling seeks vinyl at all times, but right now we are especially interested in purchasing large numbers of Italian library and soundtrack sounds–the bigger the collection, the better. We are also interested in individual titles, such as the vinyl edition of Barry 7’s Connectors pictured here (Volumes One AND Two).

If you have library music and soundtrack vinyl to sell, please get in touch as we’d be happy to discuss your collection. Turntabling is NOT interested in Broadway/Show Tunes, Classic Rock, Hip Hop made after 1992 or Country collections…thanks for your interest but we aren’t buying any of those genres.

If you have vinyl to sell, please feel free to send an e-mail with as much detail as possible to jwallace242(at)gmail.com.

WTF Album Cover Vs. House of Whipcord

I’ve been staring at this album cover for quite some time trying to remember what it reminded me of…

I have never listened to Come to The Chapel, but I can only imagine that it’s totally dreadful–LOOK at this and try to convince someone, anyone, that it’s worth five seconds of needle-drop time. Just TRY.

But that’s besides the point. I could NOT get it out of my head what it was this LP cover was reminding me of in all its wretched glory. And then it popped into my head like the distant drunken memory of touching a party guest inappropriately after one too many glasses of wine…

This album cover is creepily reminiscent of Peter Walker’s 70s Brit-sploitation magnum opus House Of Whipcord.

If you’ve never seen the film, that reference will mean NOTHING to you…but if you HAVE seen House of Whipcord, doesn’t this poor old born-again crooner lady bear the faintest resemblance to the creepy whip-loving matron of the private dungeon in the Pete Walker flick?

She just projects the VIBE of someone who would be inclined to keep “wayward girls” locked up in an illegal detention center waiting for the chance to put ’em on trial or lay down the whip, either way.

If you have not seen the movie, you owe yourself a look at this obscure 70s retro classic of Brit moral terror. Click the pic to go buy it right this effing instant from Amazon.com.

The Mood Mosaic: The Hashish Party Vinyl LP

This album is truly awesome. It’s a collection of music appropriate for the sorts of parties referenced in the title–oh, yes.. Bob Crewe, Serge Gainsbourg, even Nelson Riddle gets a look in on this and it’s a long play trip-a-delic excursion perfect for fans of the funk, Easy Tempo sounds, and the types of groovy, happening tracks implied by that awesome cover.

Is that photo lifted from William Klein’s Who Are You, Polly Magoo? Or just inspired by it? Either way, just looking at this you get the idea. Check out the opening scene from the film below to see what I mean…that movie is HIGHLY recommended if you’re a fan of the music, fashion and general vibe of the era.

I do have, at the time of this writing, a sealed copy of this awesome record for sale. You can buy The Mood Mosiac: the Hashish Party at my Discogs shop, and don’t forget that every purchase goes directly to support the website.
