New Vinyl LPs at Turntabling

Turntabling has some awesome new additions for sale including a metric TON of Italian soundtracks on vinyl, plus some collections of soundtrack sounds like the Piomobo Rovente LP collection pictured here.

Piomobo Rovente, released on Plastic Records, is crammed full of essential sounds by Francesco de Masi, Pulsar, and Guido E Maurizio De Angelis. This vinyl record has names longtime Italian soundtrack lovers will be pleased with–newcomers to this genre should definitely get to know the composers represented on this record. See below for some YouTube clips from this LP you won’t want to miss.

Piomobo Rovente has cuts from a variety of Italian police thrillers including Napoli Spara, two from La Polizia Incrimina, La Legge Assolve, three from Roma Violenta, quite a few from La Macchina Della Violenza, and one track each from Milano Violenta, Roma A Mano Armata, and La Poliziotta Fa Carriera.

You can buy Piomobo Rovente from Turntabling--first come, first served!

Don’t miss it, it likely won’t be around long. Plastic Records is another one of those Italian labels we like to grab whenever we can find their material. They’re just as awesome as Right Tempo/Easy Tempo, Dagored and Cinevox as far as Turntabling is concerned.

This is just one of the rare, cool, hard-to-find, and just plain awesome records we’ve found while scouring the earth for the right kinds of records. Other recent additions for sale include the awesome reissue of Marshall McLuhan’s The Medium is the Massage LP by Five Day Weekend Records.

Five Day Weekend did us ALL a favor by reissuing this LP in all its dated, 60s glory. Make no mistake, “dated” in this context is TOTALLY awesome. There’s nothing like some of these crazy 60s-era sonic experiments, and I highly recommend picking this up if you’re a fan of stuff like the Modcinema.com DVDs Colorspace Volume One, Colorshopping, etc.

Released in 1968, you can get a fascinating look at what media theorists and manipulators were thinking about mass media way back then. Compare it to today’s musings about social media, Google, and other issues and you’ll draw some very interesting parallels.

This was quite a rarity in its original form–it did make it to CD but the real way to experience this is on that turntable rotating at 33 1/3 per minute. You can buy The Medium Is the Massage by Marshall McLuhan on a first-come, first served basis at Turntabling. When it’s gone…

Also just in, the Ennio Morricone soundtrack LP for Le Foto Proibite Di Una Signora Per Bene (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) issued on Dagored, plus a CD copy of the Nico Fidenco soundtrack for Blue Jeans.

Turntabling has gotten a fair amount of CDs in stock over the last few weeks–are you interested in Italian soundtrack music on CD? Eurohorror? Crime and thriller soundtrack sounds? If so, you’ll want to check out the compilation CD Roma Violenta (La Cinevox Si Incazza) or Tecnica Di Un Omicidio / Quella Carogna Dell’Ispettore Sterling (Colonne Sonore Originali / Edizione Speciale) by Robby Poitevin.

There’s more–SO much more–at the Turntabling Discogs shop on vinyl and on compact discs.

Have a look and don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions. We’re happy to help! Also, don’t forget that Turntabling buys record collections–if you want to sell us yours, get in touch with us via e-mail: jwallace242 at gmail. We buy soundtracks, horror film-related vinyl, electronic music, goth and industrial sounds, post-punk and punk. We DO NOT BUY show tunes, Broadway, classical, hip hop made after 1992, 80s and 90s metal or country.

We will travel to review collections under the right circumstances–we DO buy ENTIRE COLLECTIONS when warranted, but we are also willing to make smaller offers on portions of a collection if you prefer.

Get in touch to learn more about our buying policies and current needs and thank you very much for your interest.

New Vinyl Arrivals at Turntabling: Morricone, Joy Division, Goblin

There is a TON of great new vinyl for sale on the Turntabling Discogs page. Italian soundtrack fans will love the addition of My Delicious Spaghetti Western on the legendary Dagored label, and it’s been a great long while since I had a copy of Ennio Morricone’s La Donna Invisible to offer–it’s one of my favorite soundtracks from the era. I am always on the lookout for more excellent titles from Italy from the giallo, horror, sci-fi and thriller genres. You can never have too many Goblin albums, and Morricone’s work from the 60s and 70s never gets dull.

Turntabling sells vinyl from a variety of genres including soundtracks, goth/industrial, 80s new wave and punk, and just plain rare/obscure titles. I scour the earth to find these, and several times a year embark on cross-country trips to buy entire collections, find weird and outrageous vinyl, and meet my fellow vinyl junkies.

If you have a collection to sell, I’d be very happy to discuss it–but please know that I buy in the genres that I sell here. Country, show tunes, classic rock, and other genres unrelated to what I sell on Turntabling are of little interest. The ONLY exception to that rule is when weird or unsual albums are involved.

Here is a VERY SMALL selection of what I currently have for sale on Discogs. You can always send me an e-mail for a list of my latest arrivals–it’s an auto-responder that has my very latest items listed. Just send an email to: turntabling23@gmail.com. This list is updated whenever I get new arrivals–want the latest? Just send another email to that address and you’ll have the latest updated version.

Thanks very much for checking out Turntabling! Your interest is what keeps the site going year after year.

Goblin Vinyl For Sale

Among the recent arrivals at Turntabling is this fabulous Goblin LP, Il Fantastico Viaggio Del “Bagarozzo” Mark. It’s a new copy and features a gatefold sleeve and the awesome 180 gram heavy vinyl you know and love. You can buy this from Turntabling on a first-come, first served basis–I’ve got one copy and when it’s gone, it’s gone! You can buy it now from Turntabling via Discogs.

Want to hear some of this? Here’s a sample posted on YouTube…and while we’re on the subject, know that this is the Morante, Simonetti, Pignatelli, and Marangolo lineup of the band. Outstanding.

Horror Soundtrack Vinyl: Goblin Reissues, Twins of Evil, and More

Turntabling has scored some DELICIOUS soundtrack vinyl as of late. We’ve also scored quite a lot of LPs and 12-inch singles in the goth/industrial genres. These titles are all coming up for sale quite soon, but as they’ve only just arrived we thought it would be fun to tantalize you with these images:

House By The Cemetery, directed by Fulci, with an outstanding soundtrack by Walter Rizzati. The Death Waltz version of this includes blood red vinyl and a poster…this is quite a find!

Death Waltz strikes again with the never-before-on-vinyl (according to the LP notes) soundtrack for Twins of Evil! Peter Cushing was so awesome in this movie…it deserves a new viewing now that the vinyl is out.

Let’s set the record straight on the Patrick soundtrack. There are TWO VERSIONS of this–one is the ORIGINAL soundtrack by Brian May (who was the same person responsible for a lot of other film soundtracks including Mad Max) and the other (the one pictured here) is the EXPORT version of the soundtrack with music by GOBLIN. I’ve seen both versions of the film and it feels quite different with the Goblin music as opposed to Brian May. I prefer the Goblin, myself.

I’ll have all of these and more up for sale quite soon in the Turntabling shop on Discogs. Every time you purchase from Turntabling, you’re supporting the site, so I thank you for your continued support to keep Turntabling running.

And while you’re pondering that, have a look at these trailers for House By The Cemetery, Twins of Evil, and Patrick.
